Western media has lost all semblance of neutrality and has become \u201cpart of the problem\u201d when it comes to Israel\u2019s ongoing war crimes against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, according to a Palestinian journalist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Western media is enabling Israel to commit these war crimes and massacres of Palestinians because they refuse to cover what\u2019s actually happening on in the ground,\u201d Ahmed Alnaouq, a Palestinian journalist based in London, told Anadolu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s very loud and clear that Western media is now a hypocrite when it comes to this war on Gaza.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alnaouq has had more than 23 family members killed in Israel\u2019s ongoing assault on Gaza, including his father, brothers, sisters, and 14 nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For him, Western media outlets are \u201cpartners\u201d in Israel\u2019s crimes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Western media have a job. Their job is to report the news as it happens and they\u2019re not doing their job,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe international community also has the responsibility to stop Israel from committing these atrocities against the Palestinian people, but unfortunately, they\u2019re not doing their job.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also called out Western media outlets for their apathy on the relentless killing of journalists in Gaza, where at least 142 media workers have been killed in Israeli attacks since last October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Western media does not care about their Palestinian colleagues because of their \u201cidentity\u201d and \u201cskin color.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIf this mass killing of journalists happened in another country, if they were not Palestinians, we would have seen uproar from all the Western media,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cUnfortunately, just because they\u2019re Palestinians, the world did not care much about it. This is a tragedy. The Western media is racist.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
