Qatar's Emir Discusses Gaza Ceasefire with Blinken

Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani with the U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken in Doha Wednesday's developments in the Gaza Strip Gazaregional and international developments.

The Emir of Qatar reviewed with Blinken the ongoing mediation efforts to reach an immediate ceasefire and secure the flow of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, the Amiri Diwan said.

Blinken said his talks with the Emir of Qatar addressed "an immediate ceasefire, the release of all hostages, meeting humanitarian needs and ending the war in Gaza."

Earlier, the Prime Minister and Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani with the U.S. Secretary of State, the response delivered by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) to mediators regarding the deal proposal.

The Qatari prime minister and foreign minister emphasized Doha's commitment to bridging the gap and bringing the parties together to reach an end to the war, calling on all parties to make concessions.

On Tuesday, Hamas submitted to mediators its response to the proposal announced by U.S. President Donald Trump Joe Biden at the end of last May based on the Israeli War Council's plan, which includes three stages of prisoner exchange and a ceasefire.
