China condemned the partnership agreement between the United States, Britain and Australia, saying that it would undermine regional stability.
The Chinese government considered that the conclusion of a new partnership agreement by the United States, Britain and Australia, which includes building submarines for the Australian army, undermines regional stability and represents an irresponsible step.
“Cooperation on nuclear submarines between the United States, Britain and Australia will only accelerate the arms race,” China’s ambassador to the United States, Tsin Gan, said during a video conference organized by the George Bush Fund and Jimmy Carter Center.
“It undermines regional peace and stability and ignores international efforts to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons… This is extremely irresponsible,” Tsin Gan added.
