To circumvent Houthi operations Israeli minister reviews land bridge from India through the UAE
Israeli Transportation Minister Miri Regev recounted her trip to Mundra Port in India, from which goods go to Israel via several Arab countries.
The minister posted a video while at the port, which she said was the largest in India, showing containers of cargo going to the UAE and then to Israel via the land route, she said.
She said this comes in light of the "challenges" imposed on Israel due to the war, and said the Houthis have attacked ships heading to Israel through the Red Sea.
The goods exit Mundra Port via sea to the UAE, and are then transported by road by truck to Saudi Arabia and Jordan and on to Israel.
Hebrew Channel 13 had earlier published a report on the land trade bridge that starts from the UAE, through Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Israel, in order to circumvent the naval blockade by the Houthis in the Red Sea, where they target ships heading to the Hebrew state.
